Here's what I promised Tuesday in a discussion here. A review of the research Colorado bases their decision to use Wind on.

One of the studies is, IMO, worthless as it's 95% "when the wind is blowing, that reduces CO2." I'll agree 100% with that statement.

But the other one is good. Really good. They did an impressive job trying to separate out the specific generation & emissions when the wind dies down. I'll leave it to you all to read the research and let me know if you think I'm off on my summation.

And if anyone knows of similar research, that dives in as well as this does, please let me know. Especially if it measures in the U.S. using the mix of generation sources we use when the wind dies down.
