Kinda hard not to blame the president when he calls the shutdown “an unprecedented opportunity “.

  2. MakeAPatternGrow on

Last time we had a Trump shutdown, wasnt it the Flight Attendants Union that ended it by threatening a strike? Why havent more Unions stepped up on this?

  3. Rude-Strawberry-6360 on

Because. They. Are. In. Control. Of. All. Three. Branches.

They own this. All of it.

  4. It is all about dissolving Congress and allowing Trump to own every string of power. It is not a mistake.

Because Republicans have every single branch and Trump called it an opportunity and doesn’t care and is building a ballroom and traveling the world

  6. People are blaming the GOP because the GOP wasn’t even present at the bargaining table when the shutdown started. People are blaming the GOP because at any time, the GOP can pass a a rule change in the Senate on a simple majority vote that will allow a budget to pass on a simple majority vote, and the whole process would take less than an hour to complete. For those in the back, this means that **the GOP can end this shutdown any time they want to without a single Democratic vote** , and aren’t.

blame President Trump on social media for the government shutdown and you’ll get the Charlie Kirk treatment cause that was just an exercise to see how many Dems they could get fired and it worked beautifully

  8. Republicans control the federal government. Of course the shutdown is entirely their fault.

And all they need to do to end it is to not kick millions of Americans off of their health insurance.

Mikey may as well just make all of his appearances in his secret gimp outfit because we all know that’s his identity.

  10. You can fool some of the people all of the time, and you can fool all of the people some of the time. But you cant fool all of the people all of the time.

  11. Well, why don’t the Dems at this point say “fine we will extend the govt to Nov 21 and in that time you can negotiate healthcare subsidies. If you don’t we will just do this exact thing again.”

  12. Landslide
    Mandate
    All houses of power

GOP are foolish little.lambs to the slaughter.

Its all in their hands, and their still pissed. Fuckig kids. KIDS!!

They’re being blamed because they control  all branches of government and this is entirely  their fault. They can’t spin it no matter how hard they try.

Turns out that when breaking the government is not just an isolated instance of extortion, but your whole philosophy of governance, people think that’s worse.

  15. I mean he who smelt it dealt it…. They keep blaming the Dems at every turn. Homeland ads at the airport, Mike Johnson and his “Dems shut down the government, we cant swear in the rep from az” – president blaming Dems for everything,… Like at this point who fucking believes them if they aren’t already in the cult

  16. Says a lot that all the powerful forces (Israeli government, GOP) view things as issues with perception and not things that are deeply unpopular.

  17. Republicans control both houses and the executive branch. They have to compromise with the democrats to get things done. This is the way!! Don’t be fooled by the bullshit republican talking points. They lie every time they open their mouths. Vote them out of office and save America !!!

  18. >“I will only meet if they let the country open,” Trump told reporters this week.

This quote sums up the entire Republican stance & this sentiment is what Democrats need to be shining a light on and repeating: Republicans have no interest in compromising and insist on only getting everything they want or nothing.

  19. It’s their government

In other countries their failure to govern would have already resulted in snap elections.

They go on Fox News and lie while their king bulldozes the White House.

  20. Due-Environment-9774 on

They’re in control of all three branches and cannot govern. They would rather crash the economy and line their pockets than be in session longer than two weeks. They would rather children go hungry and stop the discharge petition to expose their Pedophile and Chief leading them.
