    WOAH!

Below 30? 30 is the floor for polls on Trump. 30% is the basement, or so I thought. This is something.

All of these companies that donated 300m Would fire me from my job over a 25$ gift card.

  3. And, let’s be honest. The 300 Million price tag is the absolute price floor. It’ll cost at least a billion and likely won’t ever get built.

  4. Contractors should do the right thing and heed the public’s wishes. Quit work until proper channels are reestablished and used, and not MAGA stacked ones either.

Not to worry. It will be open to the public for free Arthur Murray ballroom dance lessons every February 29th.

  6. It’s not a ballroom. Trump is trying to be king, he’s having a ridiculously enormous, gold plated room built. It’s for a throne.

  7. That’s the low-water mark for *anything* Trump does.

Imagine knowing that 1 in 4 people will support you no matter what you do.

And this is how it’s absolutely a cult.

One example is Trumps dealings with Argentina.

Using the US government to bail out the failing libertarian experiment that is the Argentinian economy (with very little benefit to the US) *WHILE THE US GOVERNMENT IS LITERALLY SHUT DOWN AND SNAP BENEFITS SET TO EXPIRE* (Threatening food scarcity for millions),

While also buying Argentine beef, which directly hurts US beef farmers, and undermines his own tariff policy for a domestic product that we *actually* have…

That’s the opposite of America first. It is one of so many things that are blatantly telling his followers that he doesn’t stand by any of what he says, he’ll do whatever he thinks benefits him and the people he favors. That his only real code of “ethics” is naked self-interest.

Still about 25-30% of Americans will find a way to adore the action, even as the roof over their heads are falling apart, the food on their table is meager, etc.

How the 1/3rd of eligible voters in last years election didn’t see the danger of that and get off their ass to vote this guy out of office is the biggest stain on US politics I’ve ever witnessed. And we may never recover from it.

  8. Please call it the correct name at least. Epstien’s Ballroom for children that want to dance with older men”

    Interesting choice of reference.

Gosh, whatever happened to old Marie?

Didn’t she become a hat model or something?

    🙂

  10. 28% of people who will literally never set foot in a ballroom in their life (unless it’s to work there) support this?

    That is insane.

He hasn’t held even 1 state dinner this year! And in his *entire* last term? two

There’s no shared plan of a kitchen, parking, outdoor space, restroom facilities or even concrete slabs to stage portable facilities – else that would be in the works if this was a real project meant to build a luxury event space.

This isn’t meant to fulfill a diplomatic need, it’s a scam. He’s going to pocket 80% of the funds and build a vast, empty shell.

Nobody want to eat ketchupsteak with Trump anyways.

  12. Turns out to be a bad look when you starve people while you force through a tacky vanity project.

  13. I want a bill that forces his library to pay for upkeep. I don’t want my tax dollars spent on this monstrosity.
