Everyone seems to be missing the whole point of this. Months ago we had seen that Trump was hosting dinners where the wealthy could pay him for pardons, policy changes, and all sorts of things. But the White House was too small and could only host a certain amount of people. Now he’s rushing this banquet hall through so that over the next 3 years he can do more of these corruption dinners and make tons more money by being able to host WAY more people at a time who are all paying millions to be there. It will be blatant corruption.

I’ve got to admit, I LOVE studying the fuzzy renders I can find online. It just blows my mind that all they have are some AI drawings and a vague notion that it should seat 1000 guests, but without any rationale provided for such a round number. And based on only THAT, a crew was rushed in to knock down the entire East Wing without any warning. My prediction is that the ballroom will be locked up in legal bullshit and cost overruns for the rest of his natural life, while the scar left by the East Wing will remind him every day that he is forever a disappointing fuck-up of a developer, let alone statesman.
