I love how the paper is like “hydrogen combustion engines are a dumb idea, so when we talk about hydrogen in this paper we’re only talking about FCEV”.
They then say that FCEVs basically only make sense on submarines.
E-Methanol is labeled as great for transport ships, and very cold regions.
Ammonia can also be great for ships, and will be in competition with E-Methanol with its main downside being is unfavorable safety.
And e-hydrocarbons will be used for high performance jets, likely tanks, and so on.
