I don’t necessarily think they’ve “retreated”. You have to consider that they lost most of their seats in the lower house, meaning that they hardly participate in debates and question time, leading to fewer soundbites and less visibility. Meanwhile, their position in the Senate puts them in the balance of power, meaning that negotiations with the government often take place behind closed doors, also leading to fewer soundbites and less visibility.

  2. Greens are the only ones who had the guts to call out the war crimes committed in broad daylight by the 4th reich and also the only ones willing to go against rich interests to fix issues like housing or wealth inequality.

Pretty sure last election showed their total votes didnt change much, they lost seats because the centre left(as usual, the real threat comes from supposed ideological allies lul) strategically attacked them in specific seats.

That’s the good thing with preferential voting, you can just vote for the ultra cool parties you like like victoria socialists that are coming in every state, then other similar small parties, then green, then some progressive independents, then labor
