Working in the mines instead of going to the kindergarten did wonders for my muscle growth.

This reminds me of when I had to go and report on a national award for young chip shop workers while working at a local magazine. I have no regrets for the amount of acne I photoshopped off those poor kids.

I think there’s a huge amount of value for young adults working in the service industry. They learn how to handle pressure, work as a team, deal with idiots, experience kindness from strangers, etc. Sort of a crash course of learning to deal with what life throws at you.Â

The children yearn for the mines.
