  1. And Russia can say that it won’t allow that all it wants – it’s none of their business.

Anyone who brings out the whole ‘it’ll cAusE eScalAtion!!’ – what the hell has Russia been doing the last four years? they literally brought North Korea into the fold and that alone was an escalation in itself.

Unless you’re pro-Russian, this should be welcomed by everybody.

The key test will be in the rules of engagement.

Will these troops be allowed to respond to any breaches with force or will we have another Srebrenica where the ‘peacekeepers’ twiddle their thumbs and look the other way whilst tens of thousands are raped, tortured and killed under their noses.

  3. Honestly believe this is a mistake. As part of a bigger coalition? Sure, but so far only the uk and france have said yes. Everyone else are offering nothing.

*slow clap* well done guys! Solved the problem no one has right now and in a way that Russia will object to.

Im sure this has been stated multiple times over the last year. Not news, just a bunch of old men flexing at each other. We should just make world leaders fight to their deaths.

  6. Good.

Curiously no other European countries have said they would do the same, yet, but from a certain point of view it doesn’t matter the UK and France in this instance are the only ones of any importance due to both being Nuclear powers. If the rest of Europe wants to continue to hide, bark or toothlessly bite under the NATO nuclear shield then let them.

The presence of British and French troops in a future Ukrainian rump state would, in a sane world with sane leaders with principle and backbone, guarantee no conflict unless the Russian oligarchy would start nuclear armageddon. Bringing Ukraine in whatever form under the NATO nuclear umbrella would guarantee their political independence so much as so they wanted to remain independent.

The major issue with this point of view of course is that we don’t live in a sane world anymore and more and more countries seem to be led by increasingly insane leaders *ahem USA. I guess one has to hope that if the commies didn’t blow up the world way back then the oligarchs, paedos and crime lords won’t either.

  7. Fantastic news, especially with the little publicised qualification that these troops will be sourced entirely from the sons and daughters of currently serving UK Labour MPs. What a great leader, leading by example like that. Hurrah!

Starmer’s son first, flood blood can come from his child, he is quite willing to spill our children’s blood.

  9. Best thing Starmar has said. We will fight. We will boot boots on the ground. Just give us the order!!

  10. Has anybody bothered to ask if British soldiers want to go and fight other politicians wars on foreign soil?

Is the British army now a kind of “Rent a mob” up for hire to the highest bidder?
