It was absolutely the wrong response to the tragedy, even regardless of what Israel has or hasn’t been doing.

The terrorists didn’t blow up an El Al jet in Australia or target a busload of Israeli tourists. They targeted Australian Jews, i.e Australians. This was an Australian massacre and Australian tragedy in full, not Israel’s or any other country’s.

    Yeah, nah.

There is no warrant against Herzog. Calls for AFP intervention are fantasy divisive activist noise.

In fact, Herzog is centre-left himself and I believe is associated with the ALP equivalent in Israel.

But that’s shouldn’t matter. Israel is a very important ally and friend of Australia and we need to rebuild the relationship with them. Ideally Herzog should visit Sydney to pay respects at Bondi, visit Canberra to address Parliament and visit Melbourne to tour the reconstruction site of the Adass Israel Synagogue.

  3. I thought their president was already coming, he’s been invited by one of the Jewish groups for an event.

If so, then Albo isn’t in a position to cancel anything.

If he wants to go one step further and actively cancel the Israeli presidents visa/block access, that’s a different story and will start a diplomatic feud
