It’s a WEATHER BOMB aka it’ll be rather windy in Cornwall today.

The British press and ridiculous names for weather. Name a more iconic duo.

It’s nice and refreshing to see the usual anti-intellectuals taking the piss about official weather names and what damage bad weather can bring

Waiting for this drastic weather to arrive in the midlands. We have some slight drizzle currently.

Can guarantee it’ll be a big load of nothing by the time it reaches the North West

Loads of rain here South Wales, which means ground is saturated and all the grit we accumulated over the last few weeks on the roads is washed away.
If the snow does land like forecast then it’ll be a cluster f***.

Why are we so panicked in the UK? Every news outlet with their sensationalism for this current storm is baffling. I’ve heard blizzards are coming. I’ve heard it described as a Snowdump. I understand higher grounds might get some in mountainous regions but there’s currently 27 alerts/updates on trains in wales with many stopping service from 14:00/15:00 and there’s not a single flake of snow.
It’s rained ALL day. Even if it did snow I’d be shocked it it settled with 2 inches of water already on the floor. The Met office here are still forecasting rain too. There’s no mention of the white stuff. And yet nearly every train has been cancelled.
It’s like the Beast from the East a few years ago, my old office closed with thousands of employees sent home and it stayed shut for 3 days, and in that time not a single snowflake touched the ground. Just a bit of a cold breeze.

Going skiing on Saturday, will be pissed off if I can’t fly due to it snowing in the wrong place…

My train route has been cancelled until the end of the day. So far the rain has been the sort I wouldnt even put full waterproofs on to take the dog out.
