  1. Oh it’s this time of year already? Any word on whether Woolies will sell Chinese made Australian flag thongs, beer coolers etc this year? And which ethnic celebrity will post about it and infuriate right wing journalists?

  2. Tekashi-The-Envoy on

Can’t wait to rip the BBQ, hang with mates and appreciate the Australia that I love.

No debate needed or wanted !

  3. Let’s logically acknowledge the historic day that the Australian Commonwealth was proclaimed = 1 January. Oh. Wait. We lose a public holiday.

  4. No it hasn’t.

Clickbait companies like 9 are pushing it to *create* debate and gather rage-clicks, which make them the same amount of money as interest-clicks.

Ignore it, eg by ignoring any online “debate” and it won’t be an issue.

  5. Not sure how the debate is reignited when fewer people than ever want to change it. Is it just an increasing minority trying to get attention?

  6. Every year its the same… Imagine getting offended by a date that literally celebrates your country , and still ignoring polls showing the majority of Aussies don’t want it changed by very large gap at that.
