Ouch. Â That’s a bad day. Â I always felt bad for the ANA, as they weren’t in survivable vehicles like we were. Â A pickup would get blown up, and they’d get it real bad. Looks like these guys are officials or something, not ANA Grunts.
Any info on where this took place? Â I’m always curious to see if my former unit ever appears in enemy footage. Â We got into it a fair amount with the local Taliban. Â They got us pretty good a few times, but I think we gave them a lot worse.

I’m not military (LE Retired) and when I saw that rock I figured it was a marker of some kind. Thanks for pointing it out. I wasn’t sure but it made sense.

I dont miss driving on those roads. It was like driving on clouds of moon dust. Then if it rained, was just a quagmire of soupy mud
