Clip taken from "Da Ghazyano Karwan 8". The full video runs for more than an hour. It's too big to upload here.

The file on my hard drive is dated March 2010, for what it's worth.

Oof. Not sure but it looks like maybe they used that white orb in the median as a reference.

Thank goodness for the red arrow. I wouldn’t have know which vehicle disappeared in a huge explosion otherwise /s

Ouch.  That’s a bad day.  I always felt bad for the ANA, as they weren’t in survivable vehicles like we were.  A pickup would get blown up, and they’d get it real bad. Looks like these guys are officials or something, not ANA Grunts.

Any info on where this took place?  I’m always curious to see if my former unit ever appears in enemy footage.  We got into it a fair amount with the local Taliban.  They got us pretty good a few times, but I think we gave them a lot worse.

  4. Jezus had they really had to use the equivalent force of a small nuclear warhead?

OP is the full video as thrilling as this version? I imagine the first 57 minutes is just driving.

“What do we do if we hit an IED?”

“Well, the usual procedure is to jump 120ft in the air and spread yourself over a wide area.”

  6. I’m not military (LE Retired) and when I saw that rock I figured it was a marker of some kind. Thanks for pointing it out. I wasn’t sure but it made sense.

War is hell! Those guys think they’re still driving. Looks like they got vaporized.

I dont miss driving on those roads. It was like driving on clouds of moon dust. Then if it rained, was just a quagmire of soupy mud
