  1. Oh my god. Who could have predicted this outcome. They seemed so stable and cohesive and united behind Susssan and completely ready to take on the big bad Labor party at the next election….. I’m shocked I tell you.

  2. Do you reckon Sussan might be secretly relieved to be ousted? She always seems like a character in a movie where a teenage daughter and politician mum have swapped bodies and have to pretend like everything’s normal.

Just what the Liberals need… another far-right halfwit who can barely string a coherent sentence together as the leader….. they’re just begging to be blown out

Hastie was quick of the mark in rebuking Trumps dismissal of contribution of Allied troops in Afghanistan.

“He had insulted every Australian soldier who served in Afghanistan” Hastie.

  5. Sussan Ley stepped up because it was the best way to limit immediate harm to the party. Also because she’s an ambitious politician and saw an opportunity.

She is not stupid and always knew a spill was inevitable.

As the Right swings off into the deep dark forest, Hastie looks like the favourite, but “Well done” Angus Taylor will be calculating.

The *funniest* outcome is a spill with Hastie and Taylor ripping numbers from each other and Ley squeaking back in by one vote.

That’s the funniest, most damaging outcome possible, so I’m calling it. A vicious spill with harsh words that can’t be taken back, Ley returns as wounded leader, and the circus plays on.
