Frankly if I was Carney and treated the same way by Trump, I would do the same thing too. This should be a wake-up call for Trump and his administration, that leaders of (former) allies will look for stable relationships and trading partners elsewhere. Rather than thinking about the implications, they would rather say the Canada will become China’s puppet. Unfortunately all of us, including MAGA will feel the economic impact (losing are largest trading partners) of this longer after Trump is out of office.

Carney has outsmarted them with his knowledge of how real world economics work.
It’s going to take a long time for us to be waaaaay less independent on the US.
