I dont think i need much context as these pictures provide alot of information. But how can they act like giving a refund is a good gesture and not a legal requirement. I have always be suspicious of these medical certificates. Always seemed to good to be true. Guess I was right? Or am I missing something. Btw I did contact them requesting a refund the second it came out of my bank account.

Why not? Steam did it for years with videogames.
When did you cancel the subscription and what terms did you agree to when entering the subscription?
How is being charged for a subscription you signed up for a scam 😂Â
Is the problem that you asked for a refund because you just didn’t cancel in time? Or you cancelled before the renewal date but they charged you anyway?
Yes, it is illegal for them to continue charging you for a cancelled subscription. There is no enforcement of this law though. The ACCC should punish companies for this kind of thing, but it is completely toothless in practice. You need to go through your bank to dispute the charge and then block the company from charging you further. I had a similar issue with a gym membership last year.

I still don’t get it though – did you cancel before they charged?
