If looking for partners and not allies then India could be the best partner who have one of the most consistant foriegn policy since its inception and its not influenced by 3rd party easily. So atleast one will never be surprised by their moves.

Why not just go back to producing quality engineered goods, at slightly above market prices, in Germany again? Germany undoubtably has the potential to prosper, they need their cost of energy to lower and the only way with that is nuclear again.
