After ww2 the govt built 20% of supply for decades and everyone had cheap houses. In the 80s people started to believe neoliberalism and over the next 3 decades public housing was sold off and the government built less than 10% of the stock. And here we are with a housing crisis.

LibLab couldn’t give a shit about renters beyond the money they make for landlords. You can tell by policy and the fact that nearly all politicians are landlords themselves.
