Here we go again. Trump has no authority under US federal laws to decertify made in Canada planes such as Bombardier’s.
Moreover Bombardier’s Global jets for the US market are built in the US. So I’m not sure where he’s going with his tariffs threat.
EDIT: Upon further verification, it appears that the final assembly of the Global jets is made in Canada. So this might impact Bombardier’s operations if the 50% tariff comes into force.

Carney picked the right moment for his speech. Thanks to the Greenland show, Europe finally realized there’s no appeasing Trump. In the Indo-Pacific there’s a realization that you can’t appease Trump into protecting Taiwan thanks to his complete willingness to sell out Ukraine. In the US enough people realize tariffs suck so there’s no appetite for more, and Mango Mussolini’s approval is very low.

I know it’s not the key detail, but the fact that he ends every tweet with “Thank you for your attention to this matter!” As if these are professional statements/letters instead of the online ramblings of a dementia-addled old man drives me up the wall.

So this is apparently about the fuel line deicing certification, I’m not really sure how Canada factors in unless Gulfstream chose to certify through transport Canada instead of the FAA for some reason.
