Probably one of the downsides of holding it in Calgary – they’re going to provide A LOT of material for the LPC to run in the next election over all the inevitable bozo eruptions this weekend.

I think it’s kinda important that all media are barred from the convention.
Sounds like they don’t want anyone to know how deeply entrenched the Maple MAGA are in the Conservative party? Sounds like they wanted a weekend to say the quiet part out loud, per chance?
*****EDIT: I am mistaken. I misheard a CBC radio report talking about the two conventions. It is the Ontario Provincial convention that is blocking media.

I’d be very curious to know their stance on whether we should allow Canadian companies to contract equipment to ICE. I can imagine they are probably in favor of allowing it to continue but I also imagine they want to rip Carney for anything they can so it could go either way. Anyone know if CPC has made any statements on this?

Wow, they really can’t let go of trying to emulate the US. I can’t believe that reproductive rights are on the table again with the explicit intent to placate pro-life votes. There’s not even a pretence of morality to it.

And with those discussions there can we stop calling the conservatives a moderate or centrist party now? Really they stopped being so awhile ago but seems they’re openly admitting it at that convention about their far right tendencies.

They should probably start looking at things that will actually improve people’s lives and make the country better and stronger.
