Will they try to ban people from watching social media or what

The world should follow suit! It’s a cancer on society to weaken it for US propaganda

Social media was better when it was actually social and involved more than just liking random pictures/reels that an algorithm had decided for you.

Social media is a cancer to society

Isn’t every new technology that’s released, an uncontrolled human experiment?

I deleted all of social media 2 years ago, only kept reddit.
It was the best life decision I ever made.
No longer anxious about absolutely everything.

As an adult in Finland for a second there I got excited the ban would be not just for kids. I really don’t enjoy the fact that how we interact with each other is controlled by greedy American corporations.

The West is finally opening its eyes.
Ban the social networks cancer!

Algorithmic feeds are a big part of the problem, they should be heavily regulated (even on Reddit!).

It is not just social media that warps the minds of kids, it is the influencers too.
Kids watch many streamers, most of those streamers have a really bad influence on kids, either by making them feel bad about their own body or by exposing them to conspiracy theories presented as truths or by working on behalf of foreign governments to influence the thoughts patterns of future citizens.

I mean… every innovation in history has slid into human culture’s DMs as an uncontrolled human experiment. Social media ain’t special.

It’s just a backdoor for digital idea. What kind of uneducated moron believes governments globally are all trying to do what is best for their citizens, and not just enslave them?

The SHIT I see on facebook recently:
* AI slop shit
* MAGA/Trump supporter nutcase bullshit
* People worrying about chemtrails when they see a plane overhead…
* My Ex posting about Jesus and how the end is near.
I rarely use facebook, but when I am on it it takes about 10 minutes and I want to gag.
“Utter shit” doesn’t even describe it…
And I guess TikTok etc. even worse…
Edit: “X”, oh lord….
BAN IT ALL….

I genuinely believe (without any scientific evidence of my own, mind you) that the internet, specifically social aspects of it, breaks our brains.
We aren’t equipped to deal with interacting with this many people all at once. It’s a rapid environment change that we aren’t adapting quickly enough to.
Maybe it is specifically the huge algorithm social networks – it felt okay when we had our own little forums, etc.

So their solution is a failed human experiment, authoritarianism

Good. Micro-dosing on personalized engagement treatments is extremely dangerous. It has asymmetric power dynamics as well, whoever holds more data is exponentially more powerfulZ

Smart it is a failed experiment and propaganda needs to be controlled

Mental health is worth more than likes and followers…at last, the world is awakening from the social media spell.
Everyone should watch this Netflix documentary titled “The Social Dilemma” and decide how you want to use social media (if you still want to).
Here’s the trailer: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaaC57tcci0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaaC57tcci0)
The bonus to watch after this would be another one by Netflix, titled “The Great Hack”.
