I mean I’m not gonna watch the video because the reasons are very obvious. Alberta would be the most receptive to being American, and thy have the most financial potential with their oil sands.

Alberta’s oil is compatible with US refinaries. If Canada is a exporting it through BC, then US refinaries cannot pay as low for it as they want.
