no wonder why Doug was pushing Carney for an election. Probably believes that the Feds getting a Majority would cool down the voters in Ontario that are tired of their province being sold off to his donors while the debt is higher than most economies.

Leaderless Liberals give everyone a chance to imagine their ideal leader. Once NES or some faceless backbencher gets in those numbers will go back down.

more interesting that the polls getting closer (Which sans a leader isnt a ton to take from), is that his approval rating is falling in the last month a ton.
I do wonder what really Ford can do to get that back higher. The whole captain canada shtick is donezo considering the Federal government get a boost from it.

The only thing even more inexplicable than Ford’s continued popularity is a bump for the completely AWOL Liberals while the NDP have been doing the work of opposition single-handedly.

Their January poll was a bit of an outlier. Liason’s had the Liberals at 35% the last couple polls. Pallas had them at 30. Even the December Abacus had them at 28 before the January one had them down at 22. The Liberals need to have their leadership contest so their leader can start building a profile.
