  1. Venezuela oil revenue will no longer be deposited in an account in Qatar, Energy Secretary Chris Wright told [NBC News](https://www.nbcnews.com/video/full-interview-energy-sec-wright-says-cooperation-with-venezuela-off-to-a-tremendous-start-257613893586) in an interview this week.

    “An account was set up in Qatar, controlled by the U.S. government the whole time, to land that money in and then send the money from there down to Venezuela,” Wright told NBC News on Thursday.

    “Now we have an account at the U.S. Treasury. The money won’t go to Qatar anymore,” the energy secretary said.

  2. I will believe it when I see it. They still haven’t explained what is happening or why the money in Qatar?

  3. Couldn’t they have just, you know, lifted the oil sanctions? Would have saved a ton of military money, civilian suffering, the opportunity cost, etc.
