However I dont think they will call an election barring the Liberals knowing they can get a majority for sure.

Boulerice resigning is basically the end of the NDP in Quebec for the foreseeable future. Which, honestly? Maybe that isn’t such a bad thing for them in the immediate future.
2011 was more Quebec kicking out the BQ than anything else. With a strong LPC and a strong BQ, the NDP really just can’t compete there and they don’t have the luxury of chasing that white whale anymore. They need to be laser focused on circling 12 seats that can get them back to party status – though if they are actually foolish enough to select Lewis I don’t like their chances.
Rosemont should be a pretty easy LPC pickup. The BQ can’t compete in Montreal like they used to, barring an exceptionally weak LPC.
