Crazy idea. Lets see if they’ll let Trump take his place if Trump promises to resign from office immediately.

Let him be a Prince and tell him he’ll be King one day. I dont think he understands the line of succession so as long as we can tell him there is a chance then he might roll with it.

I agree with the idea. Hopefully it’s a simple process. It’s very unlikely he becomes king but I would like it ensure it’s impossible

  3. So it can be done but it requires the same process as was recently done to eliminate male primogeniture and allow the Crown to pass to the firstborn daughter.

Every country with the monarchy has to independently pass laws according to their own internal mechanisms for constitutional amendment to change the act of succession in each country at the same time.

    What fun.

  4. I want to see Canada take an absolutely iconoclastic stance on royal succession: let’s work to make the head of state embodied in an individual that is *not* the same individual was the current head of state of the UK. When the King of Canada passes let us have the Crown pass to someone other than the next head of state of the UK, and have our own head of state.

For absolute *raucous* disruption, let’s amend the succession process such that each Province, Territory, and First Nation can nominate a candidate and then *the nominees elect from the selected candidates*.

Yes, I know this would be *wild* and be a *certain* recipe for drama, but shouldn’t the selection of a monarch be monumental?
