  1. Realistically what could Canada even contribute at this point? We don’t have an airforce in any shape that could help. I don’t think we have intelligence that could add anything of value (and if it was it would be doing what it could already behind the scenes).

Our Leo 2s were is such a state we could only give Ukraine a handful. The only thing we could possibly help with would be some token boots on the ground and idk if the US even wants to put their own troops there.

This reads more of a statement of fact rather than intent.

  2. It’s objectively funny for Poilievre to say no one knows what the Government’s stance is on the war then say this at a press conference:

    >Asked if he supported the U.S. and Israeli strikes, Poilievre said Conservatives support replacing Iran’s “terrorist regime with a democratically elected and peaceful regime,”

It sounds like Poilievre is endorsing the airstrikes or regime changes, or maybe not. At a minimum, this statement means is “we think we shouldn’t get involved but we hope it all works out well for everyone.”

Which sounds about as clear as the Government’s statements. I don’t get what Poilievre thinks he’s gonna get out of this issue given the seemingly narrow gap between his stance and that of the Government.
