  3. Thanks everyone for the very positive reactions and DMs to yesterday’s post/my announcement. I honestly shed a little tear; it made me realize how long I’ve been doing this.

This will not be the complete end. I liked some of the suggestions to keep going in a different form. I might post weekly, but not in a “weekly report post” format, rather the same daily/bi-daily report posts, just once a week (otherwise I still need to be super involved/do research and I might as well just continue what I do now).

Again, thanks for all the support over the years.

    Slava Ukraini.

On the front lines, Russian army activity did not increase yesterday and has remained relatively low for more than a week.

    – In the Kursk / Sumy / Belgorod direction, according to the Ukrainian General Staff, Russian ground forces did not conduct attacks. Ukrainian army representatives confirmed yesterday that the Russian army had deported residents of a Ukrainian village located directly on the Ukraine–Russia border to Russia, but did not confirm claims that several villages in the border zone had been captured. Since this is a so-called gray zone, it is difficult to determine exactly what is happening there on a day-to-day basis. The Russian president has demanded the creation of a buffer zone about 20 kilometers wide on Ukrainian territory along the entire land border. Russia currently does not have sufficient forces for such an operation, and the current activity in the border area is primarily an information operation.

    – In the Kharkiv direction there were isolated low-intensity Russian attack attempts.

    – In the Kupiansk direction there were slightly more attacks by Russian units east of the city, but Ukrainian defenders managed to repel them. In the Lyman and Siversk areas there have been no major changes. The Russian army continues to exert pressure mainly west of the city of Siversk but has not managed to advance further.

    – In the Chasiv Yar area no fighting took place. Positional battles continue around Kostiantynivka.

    – In the Pokrovsk area the intensity of Russian attacks has decreased. This is being compensated with information warfare.

    – In the area between Pokrovske and Hulyaipole new reports appeared yesterday about Ukrainian forces advancing at one point, although this information still requires confirmation. It has been confirmed that Russian army reserves have been moved from the Pokrovske direction to halt the pressure from Ukrainian units. Near the settlement of Hulyaipole both the Russian and Ukrainian armies are very active in launching attacks. At the moment the initiative still appears to be with the Russian army, but the fighting is limited to the gray zone, which over the past week has expanded to Russia’s disadvantage.

    – On the southern front there were isolated reconnaissance engagements.
