The f-35 successfully performed an emergency landing at a undisclosed US base in the Middle East

What’s the source? News story I read said the an f35 was damaged and made an emergency landing

  3. No chaff no flares no crank. I don’t know what the MWS equivalent for fighters is, but this should be a big wakeup call. Buddy should name his first born pratt and the second whitney cause holy shit that thing swallowed some shrapnel and kept cookin.

Why not show the entire video? I call fake on this on. The video I mean not the incident.

  5. If you go frame by frame right at the end the f-35 is shown still flying. I wonder if its defense mechanisms made the air defense missile explode or it hardly damaged the aircraft. Hence the statement by CENTCOM saying that it landed safely.

I’m gonna call it now, Iranians will sell t-shirts with the words, “Sorry, we didn’t know it was invisible!” Then the pilot and the SAM operators became best friends after the war. Then Serbia sues Iran for copyright infringement and lastly, the Iranian-Slavic War starts.

What system would this even be from? Tracking is clearly IR, and I expect missile guidance would need to be IR as well. The only systems like that I’m aware of are low altitude, where an F-35 has no business being.

Iran does have some novel missile systems though. Do they have high altitude IR SAMs?

  8. These seems odd. I’m assuming all kinds of bells and whistles would be going off in that cockpit. Looks like it’s just flying straight and level without taking any obvious defensive countermeasures. Am I wrong about that?

Thankfully, apparently it was still able to land, so it looks like the pilot made it back. I’m kind of surprised it didn’t go down

  10. Yeah, an F-35 pilot gets a missile warning and just continues to flight straight and level. No countermeasures at all.

  11. “The completely destroyed and decimated enemy is still attacking in the war that was over before it started

  12. :06 videos with no aftermath are VERY suspicious. Final frame the jet appears to be fully intact. Not saying it’s fake but I would be surprised if it’s real.

I wonder if they’re flying in predictable paths like they did in Serbia

  14. Its real there are reports of one getting hit and making an emergency landing. Lucky shot.

Doesnt matter if it was downed or not. It was damaged. The fact that a jank Iranian SAM managed to even get target acquisition on a f35 is insane.

No evasion and no flares… The F-35 can automatically deploy flares without pilot input and the pilot would be warned immediately after missile launch. Something doesn’t add up here.

  17. The entire aircraft and exhaust plume perfectly washed out white with zero cool spots. The exhaust plume never changing shape at all despite turbulent airflow and a perfect black outline. I don’t think this is an actual video of an aircraft. Having both a radar lock and a visual lock on a single aircraft simultaneously when an impact occurs seems pretty unlikely.

I’m guessing the video is cut short because it kept flying considering it made it back to base. Problem is with AI now we can hardly ever trust video again. Only just now are we realizing this problem we’ve created

Is it normal for the plane to be one uniform colour on thermals like in the video? Shouldn’t the engine and its exhaust be significantly hotter than the rest of the airframe? Thats a bit odd.

  20. I totally believe that this is 100% legitimate, especially since the video ends almost immediately after the F-35 supposedly gets hit , and before having a chance to show anything resembling damage

  21. Dry-Tangerine-4874 on

Not saying it didn’t happen. But it looks like a clip from a video game.

  22. Could be optic passive seekers with the way it’s tracked with AI integration. No countermeasures would be possible and no warning.

  23. I find it hard to believe the most advanced fighter jet made with more than qualified pilots decided to not make any defensive moves or flare deployments when I know damn well that jet is singing as soon as that missile was deployed and tracking.
