Products are not buying enough products to make more products? Color me surprised! /s

Unrestrained and unregulated capitalism might work in theory, but I think we are about to hit a wall soon.

If I had money to lose, I would worry about the economy.

And it is of the utmost importance that we do next to nothing about it.

Full speed ahead, to a future nobody asked for!

Yeah and who do you think has had a huge hand in that?

Fucking idiot. Guaranteed this guy’s heavily invested in it.

  6. Good thing BlackRock is buying up residential property to make it cheaper so people can afford it in the tougher job market, right??

Brilliant revelations like this are why Fink is at the pointy end of the orgchart.

A crisis of their own making, considering the MIC has a super hardon for killbots and automated civilian spying.

  9. It’s not so much that the sky is falling and moreso that the sky has fallen and BlackRock looks to be getting cut out by techbro oligarchs

  10. Blackrock trying a distraction I see. Anything to hide the fact that private equities are having problems cashing out private credits.

Larry Fink can go fink himself up his own finkhole. Fuck him and BlackRock.

“It’s not our short sighted decision making, it’s totally AI.”
    Same story, different scapegoat.

AI will be a shitshow regardless of whether it can replace the workforce or not. If it fails to deliver, markets will crash due to all the billions tied up in AI. If it works, markets will crash as it will cause mass unemployment in record time. And it is all well paid jobs that will be gone, e.g. bankers, lawyers and so on.

If the schools are understaffed, the infrastructure is falling apart, and the health system is overwhelmed, the issue isn’t that there aren’t jobs to do, it’s that the people with money aren’t choosing to do it.

  15. And because of this guy’s previous decisions, most of the college graduates he talks about in the article won’t be able to buy a house until their late 30s

Wait, AI doesn’t buy commodities from the companies you own that sell stuff…..the hell you say.

Get fucked Larry. BlackRock is one of the scourges on our society and you’re perpetuating issues that impact the rest of the population while you live in your golden castles.

If there was state-owned AI and citizens received a portion of profits it wouldn’t be a huge deal, it would at least staunch the bleeding.

However, AI is owned by corporations and exactly one thing in mind – drive profits skyward. We have been shown time, and time, and time, and time again that given the choice between better their communities or lining their own pockets billionaires will laugh as they pull the ladder up behind them.

They will sprinkle peanuts to our elected officials and get their way. Mark my words, revolution is the only answer here. The only real question is – how bad are we going to let it get?

  19. Itsatinyplanet on

So we can expect that BlackRock will be divesting all of their capital out of AI investments right?

    Right?

  20. In other words “we fucked the working class so hard that it might actually fuck us back this time.”

  21. Don’t forget about that housing crisis balckrock is responsible for. Nice try there trying to blame just ai

  22. fuck larry fink and fuck blackrock, they are one of the prime reasons you can’t afford to buy a home and now he’s realizing no one will have a job to pay rent on all their “assets” they snatched either…he can choke on a bag of ducks

  23. willismthomp on

This piece of shit. Had no problems buying up the houses and turning everyone into serfs but now he’s afraid the serfs may not be able to pay him more money.

  24. mekingjr1992 on

I am a little confused by this because yesterday there is an article that headlines “big bank is figuring out ai cant really do much” then today its “mega corp says ai will take all the jobs”.

There is degrees of truth in both but this constant swing back and forth of things leads just polarizes people.

Slop isn’t replacing the work as much as desensitizing people to bad quality, turning everything into a Market for Lemons and undercutting producers that should actually remain ahead.

The buyer sees the appearance of correctness, but has no information about how correctness is enforced if at all in the production of slop. Like a cheap car they only find out when it breaks down in the middle of the highway.
