If Japan even considers this deal… holy geopolitical L for the US. Right after Trump embarrassed himself in front of their PM. The optics write themselves…
Still probably won’t work considering it’s still an active warzone, but this does not look good.
Id be surprised if Iran cuts a deal that’s good enough to not put a squeeze on the bond market.  Japan is the single largest foreign holder of US debt. Â

Hormuz is turning into the No Homers Club.

That’s why countries didn’t rush to aid USA: better not be directly on Iran’s shitlist in case Trump (as expected) TACO-ed again.

I see nothing wrong with this. The US asked Japan to send ships to transit Hormuz and now it looks like they will be doing that… Good allies

assume trump ends his war on iran. and iran never lets american ships transit hormuz ever again but will allow, say, japanese ships safe passage…. cant then usa companies fill up japanese ships with their goods? seems a no brainer. companies do this all the time. if your a usa company exporting stuff, then just hire a foreign registered vessel. and if your in the usa importing stuff, make sure its shipping on a foreign registered vesel. this aint rocket science.
