The embarrassment is on the United States side of it. To even imply modern Japan… a staunch ally has any similarities to fascist Japan of the 1940s…

The faster this pathetic excuse of a human is out of office… the faster we can begin the decades long repair this country needs.

And we still probably wont because people will complain we didn’t do it in 4 years.

Trump embarrassing allies in the White House again. First Zelensky gets yelled at like a kid, now Japan’s PM gets the awkward history lesson

Just wish I could be here in a 100 years to see how this time in history is being taught, judged and debated by the populace.

Does Trump even know how to read the room? The Pearl Harbor attack was started by Japan and started a war…in which they lost.

Trump is insulting our strongest ally in East Asia.

  5. As an American I love Japan. Do not let this Cheeto throw away our good relations. He is but one man, and I hesitate to even say man.

The title is a bit misleading. He used Pearl Harbor as a justification for not alerting our allies about our attacks on Iran. Which makes sense if you’re waging this war alone but he asked for help from all our allies after Iranian resistance in the strait of Hormuz so clearly he should have included them but chose not to. Kinda like our allies are choosing not be involved in our new war.

As someone in Japan, it’s funny because no one is talking about this, the media isn’t talking about, it’s only American media covering this and making a big deal out of it.

Honestly I think Japan should have expected an insult of some kind. He didn’t do an accent or other racist thing, so I think this is on the mild side for him. That’s how low we have fallen.

  11. Trump playing the role of the world’s gauche embarrassing uncle.

Imagine how bad he’d be if he drank alcohol.

Trump expressed admiration for Japan tactics in delivering their surprise attack: the Japanese prime minister should have felt flattered

It’s so fucking weird that the entire world is just placating this toddler and collectively all other world leaders are just rolling their eyes waiting for him to go.

  14. I feel like, one by one, other nations are slowly figuring out what America is now- like not just that Trump is a rude, crazy idiot, but that the rot goes all the way down and won’t change after he’s gone. It started with Canada with the annexation threats and trade war, spread to Europe with the Greenland thing when they suddenly realized appeasement doesn’t matter, spread to the Gulf States when the US threw a surprise massacre in Iran, then left them out to dry when Iran launched reprisals, and now Japan is starting to figure it out, at least a little bit, right now with this very public insanity.

  15. They don’t seem too uneasy. Japan negotiated with Iran to clear passage of Japanese oil through the Strait right after Trump made his stupid American comment.

This is what MAGA voted for. Donald Trump is the MAGA avatar of your MAGA friends and family.

Trump has no verbal diarrhea filter on his mouth. He just shits out whatever is on mind of his rotten 1 brain cell.

  17. “Surprise, embarrassment, unease” is what we feel in the US every day this clown is in office.

  18. Yeah sorry the untrained idiot gorilla was allowed out in public with real world leaders again.

  19. “Surprise, embarrassment, unease” is a pretty good summary of the Trump administration

She should have replied back, “Surprise? Like how Melania felt, when she found out you were banging your whore while she was having your baby.”

  21. I think it was entirely appropriate. A sneak attack while not in a state of war, on top of which formal talks to de-escalate tensions and bring about a peace agreement was ongoing – that was exactly what the Japanese did in Pearl Harbor and what the Americans did in Iran. Sneaky little bastards.
