Most shipping goes to Asia [[1]](https://www.visualcapitalist.com/chart-energy-flows-at-risk-strait-of-hormuz/), so if they can make a deal with India, China, Japan, etc. and European ships don’t press the issue, the strait is essentially mostly open.
