Why are public schools asking parents to pay fees?

  2. Because private schools get showered with taxpayer money and public schools get fuck all. They’ve got to raise some money somehow.

  3. Most are voluntary. Teachers make purchases from their own pay in order to help the class and students. These costs are growing. Teachers ask parents if they can help a little for the benefit of their children.

    It’s a small price to ask because government funding isn’t adequate enough.

    Idk I remember being in Yr 12 saying I could t go to grad ceremony if I didn’t pay fees or work out a payment plan.
