I’m surprised they were allowed before. Are other non-monetary donations allowed? Can I donate gold bars to a political party?

This doesn’t really make sense, Canada has always had fairly strict campaign finance laws, and crypto has never been an accepted form of political donation.
The UK is far more of a black box in term of campaign financing, with plenty of shady money all around, so it makes sense what they’re doing.
