  1. I wish this were true. So many people are two-faced. When a republican is in office they suddenly don’t care about gas prices, foreign wars, or a deteriorating job market.

  2. Gas is generally the cheapest part of the vacation, assuming you’re driving somewhere. Sure, it’s up 30% and that’s significant, but that’s maybe $25-40 more per fill up? Based on the reporting, it sounds like flights will be much more expensive. Overall, I’d argue that life will be more expensive (food, daily gas, etc) which just limits people’s ability to take vacation somewhere else.
