Elon Musk: A Chinese Puppet? Musk has enormous business interests in China. Much of his wealth is tied up in Tesla stock which, in turn, is dependent on the good will of Chinese officials. Pleasing the Chinese leadership is key to Musk’s business fortunes.

    He seems to be just as shortsighted as German manufacturers. In 5 years tops, Chinese EV manufacturers will completely push both Tesla and European companies out of Chinese market.

  2. Once again, the people who manufacture things overseas, make money globally, etc are not the ones who are going to bring manufacturing back to the US or rein in “globalists.”

    Just as much as the people who have multiple divorces and are serial philanderers don’t actually practice nor give a shit about family values.

    It is a bit strange that the one market with far superior alternatives to Teslas is the one market that performs the best for Elon. It might be Chinese government putting a thumb on public perception. Elon’s image is still quite positive there.

    Even if the sales are organic, it is because Tesla brand equity is very high in China. It counteracts a lackluster interior, slower than average charging, and still non-existent FSD (not approved in China).

  4. Why don’t Americans deal with him within America first. Now you guys make him act like the head of US government. At least Chinese government didn’t allow him behave like this in China
