The boom in solar panels means that millions of Americans will soon be able to sell electricity directly to their neighbors

Most people cannot understand their own usage let alone well enough to bill each other for it. I suppose someday instead of Mr Fusion someone might build a Mr Utility Co homeowners install package for buyers and sellers to track and bill the power distribution.

I think I’d rather see community solar that can leverage volume equipment buys and concentrate the maintenance issues in one place.
