Donald Trump Is Creating His Own Energy Emergency. America has more than enough energy. What we need is sane policy that reflects the law, recognizes the science, and addresses the climate crisis. Trump’s “national energy emergency” executive order does the opposite.

He’s creating emergencies everywhere. On purpose! That’s the point. So he can swoop in, restructure everything, and try to make money.
All the repercussions from these emergencies don’t hurt HIM. From his point of view, they’re negative externalities. He doesn’t care. He just wants to make money. it’s working.
