The electrical grids of Ontario and Quebec are some of the cleanest in the world and only getting cleaner. New York is not exporting emissions by importing electricity from Canada. Importing and exporting energy across borders is so ordinary around the globe. No one cares about how much coal is in the ground because that’s exactly where people want it to stay. No one wants air pollution, water pollution, or asthma.
