Once I was driving a pickup along a ridge line. To my left was a indescribably massive multistory open surface mining pit that had passed its economic useful life and had begun to be filled with tailings. On my right was a more recent excavation with large ninety seven nine haul trucks motoring along spewing diesel participate outta their twenty cylinder engines as they carried oil laden sands back to the plant to be processed. It was rare to see any wild life or vegetation except for the weeds that survived on the surface after the “overburden” had been removed. I thought to myself, surely this is the asshole of the world if there ever was one.
This article really makes me think no maybe its the windmills woosh swooshs shwooshing on the grassy wind swept fields and those stinkin solar arrays that are the problem
