  1. “You know, it is a tragedy that Charlie Kirk was killed in that way. I feel for his widow and his children. They will have to live with that for the rest of their lives,” she told the former CNN anchor of the shooting death seen in a sickening close-up video.

“But there is no legacy to honor. It was a legacy filled with bigotry, hatred, and white supremacy. And as a black woman and as a Muslim in this country, I refuse to join the chorus that changes the history of what is on the record from this man.”

The NY Post is a garbage tabloid source, but I can’t find any fault with this quote from Omar. She speaks the truth.

  2. >Ilhan Omar doubles down on attacking Charlie Kirk

NY Post, you say that like this is somehow a *bad* thing…

  3. She’s right. He was a vile piece of shit. The world is better without him. If she wasn’t talking about him now, I wouldn’t even be thinking about him.

  4. The intense amount of whitewashing around this guy is truly something to behold

I mean, whitewashing doesn’t even really say it, it’s as if his character is being entirely retconned out of existence and replaced with something more politically expedient

You can tell who is also a piece of shit by who is defending him. He was a horrid terrible person, if that is someone you want to defend enjoy the same title of a fucking bigot.

“Attacking charlie kirk” wild ass title when she’s just one of the few people being honest about his legacy and what he did, he was a hate monger who used his platform to spread hate.

I don’t understand the image of this man that’s been constructed since his death. He was never famous among conservatives for engaging in level-headed and persuasive political discourse. He was often combative and mean-spirited in his arguments, because he knew that getting a rise out of people was the perfect way to generate viral YouTube clips that reaffirmed right-wing conceptions of liberals as highly emotional and irrational. He was a pioneer of the Shapiro-esque “Conservative OWNS Woke College Student” genre. He was a hate-mongering provocateur, and I thought that for years before some crazy person shot him.

  8. To me, I’d compare Charlie’s death to learning that the school bully, after a year or two of making some kids lives an absolute living hell, is moving away because their parents separated. Sad circumstances for the bully beyond their control, but I’m not going to shame those bullied kids for being happy their tormenter’s gone.

I think it’s sad Charlie used what charisma he had to vilify people *who already had enough to deal with*. The LGBTQ+ kids who were ostracized by family and friends after coming out. Black and brown people who already have to deal with micro aggressions. Immigrants already trying to balance restarting their lives in a new country and navigating our complicated system.

On top of that, and this is something that’s personally unforgivable, he made hundreds of thousands of men and women aspire not to be the one who defends the weak from bullies, but *to aspire to be one of the bullies*.

Doing that, dying violently, and leaving two kids without a father, where’s the honor in that?

  9. She didn’t attack and didn’t double down, she stated the obvious he was a horrible person and contributed only hate and division. The republicans turned into a terrorist organization and like all terrorist organizations that weaponize religion wanted a martyr to vilify people they want to eradicate. Furthermore how can anyone upvote this BS headline

The last sentence he uttered before he was shot was literally a barely veiled racist dog whistle of rage bait. I’ll never forget it because it was just so fucking ironic, funny and well timed.

Guy in crowd with microphone asking a question – “Do you know how many mass shootings have taken place in America in the last 10 years?”

Kirk – “Including or not including gang violence?” *BANG*

His literal last words aren’t reported because they are a perfectly accurate encapsulation of who he was.

Attacking? If telling the truth about someone is “attacking” them, then maybe he was indeed just a piece of 💩?

It’s possible to decry homicide, while also understanding that the cause of someone’s death doesn’t mean their legacy needs to be celebrated by everyone.

Well its not like conservatives actually care about Charlie Kirk. They just vehemently oppose the possibility that they will likely be remembered the same way when they’re gone.

And no matter what these limpdick theocrats and billionaires do in their lives, they will only ever be remembered for the absolute losers they are.

  14. The audacity of white people to point to a white college dropout who made a ton of money talking about the plight of white people on majority white college campuses in America and call him a CIVIL RIGHTS LEADER is just too rich.

MLK died with less the $6,000 to his name having donated most of his money to the Civil Rights Movement, and Charlie Kirk was worth over $12M with a real estate portfolio at the time of his death.
