I’m still fearful of the required loyalty pledge, and the required chants of Trump Trump Trump. Then I’ll know for certain that this country is finished. Please let them stay true to their oaths.

This is wild, just a rambling incoherent dumpster fire of weird jingoistic improv and insanity

So it’s a purge to ensure absolute loyalty to the regime. What a surprise! said hardly anyone.

Does any outlet have a camera on the crowd? Would love to see the faces of these generals and admirals.

  5. “If you don’t like what I’m saying you can walk out of here and you’ll lose your rank and your career”

How fucking inspiring. What a great unifying leader we have.

/s for those who think I’m serious.

  6. Personally, I love this rhetoric because it reinforces how useless the current POTUS and SECDEF are. It is so absolutely absurd and feckless. Apparently the generals were joking over the weekend that “this could have been an email” and they were correct.

Nothing if substance was said, nothing substantial will change, and a lot of taxpayer money was wasted for two man children to speak loudly to a quiet auditorium.

Yes! I love when our president brags about our nuclear capability to our entire military leadership. It makes me feel safe 😍

This would be hilarious and frightening if it wasn’t so embarrassing. He spent damn near the entire hour just rambling on and on.

  9. I find it concerning that CNN are not talking about trumps comments about using cities as training grounds.

  10. imagine losing half of your military because you only want straight white christian men.

    f it, let’s do it.

  11. Jesus. Just tuned in, and this is bonkers. “L O R E it spells lore” Like yeah I think they know how to spell.

And like 10% of them clap at the end. These folks must be losing their minds at this.

Right now I bet some more of these military folks are thinking about a military coup.

edit to add….and now I see not a SINGLE clap for Hegsforth as he left stage. just total silence.

This literally could have been a text message lmao

I like how he just walked off stage and left the military leaders there … what an embarrassment

Someone taught him the phrase “paper tiger” a few days ago. Its clear he had never heard it used before and now its his new favorite big boy phrase.

I would love a hot mic in that crowd to hear what they are saying about the bumbling dotard and the Fox clown.

Did she just say “pulling up the buses?” So, are they done? Guys who flew from halfway around the World are just getting bussed wherever to head back, now? What a waste.

  16. At points Trump was struggling to string more than 2 words together. Like physically he looked exhausted and winded.

  17. So the biggest takeaway from this is, Trump saying he’s going to use American cities as training grounds for the U.S. military, remember when people freaked the fuck out about Jade Helm?

  18. This retired General, Mark Swartz on CNN is actually defending the point of this ridiculous gathering.

I for one enjoyed this rendition of Trump’s greatest hits. I didn’t expect a brag about his handling of COVID, and the neg he aimed at Obama (calling him a worthless president while fawning over how cool he looked walking down stairs) was a refreshing take from his usual polarizing slander. /s

In all seriousness: This speech was a terrifying reminder of just how far Trump is prepared to go (and to force others to go) to defeat the enemies of his own creation. Enemies who also happen to be HIS citizens under HIS direct charge. To the service people that had to travel and sit through this propaganda address, sorry for your wasted time and brain cells. And thank you for doing the ACTUAL work to keep ALL US CITIZENS safe. ❤️

  20. He literally can’t make anything other than a campaign speech. Word salad rambling every single time lol

  21. I’ll tell you this much, if Hegseth and Trump think they’re convincing any of the generals they’re addressing, they are sorely mistaken. I don’t see how this appeals to 20+ year long career officers at all.

For all we know, this could push the generals onto a z-axis where they don’t opt to support either side.

  22. Economy_Swim_8585 on

    So declaring war on us?

Better train and try to tell your military friends to defend the constitution and not follow Trump

  23. This could arguably be the most embarrassing moment for the United States, in its history.

    What a shit show.

  24. This was a standard Trump speech, but without the energy and without the applause it’s significantly more terrifying. Even knowing his brain is mush this speech just felt different.

Love he not-so-subtly did the “raise your hand” if you don’t like Dan Caine thing. Of course no one in that room was going to raise their hand and risk their immediate career. Unfortunately it also pads his ego since he truly thinks no one raised their hand because he elevated such an amazing person into the role of Chairman of JCS.

Idk guys. This feels like something even bigger than just the Epstein files is going on and we’re being bombarded with distraction, more so than normal.
