So if they can remove the “AI summary” for this, is there a way to remove it for all other searches? I could do without having to scroll past AI slop before getting to what I actually searched for.

  2. Some key points:

    >When making the search about President Trump, AI Overviews will display a message that says, “An AI Overview is not available for this search”
    >
    >…
    >
    >Similar searches about Trump are limited in the same way. Various queries about dementia, Alzheimer’s, and senility display no AI overview and only produce a list of links inside AI Mode.
    >
    >Google’s behavior is inconsistent if you swap in different names. When asking “does biden show signs of dementia”, Google doesn’t show an AI Overview at all.
    >
    >But in AI Mode, it will offer a summarized response. When I searched for it, the response started with, “It’s not possible to definitively state whether former President Joe Biden has dementia based solely on publicly available information.”
    >
    >…
    >
    >There’s been a lot of coverage of the mental acuity of both President Trump and President Biden, who are the two oldest presidents ever, so it’s reasonable to expect that people might query Google about it. The company may be worried about accurately presenting information on a sensitive subject, as AI overviews remain susceptible to delivering incorrect information. But in this case, it may also be worried about the president’s response to such information. Google agreed this week to pay $24.5 million to settle a highly questionable lawsuit about Trump’s account being banned from YouTube.
    >
    >Google spokesperson Davis Thompson didn’t say why AI overviews weren’t triggered for these queries when asked by The Verge. “As we’ve said, AI Overviews and AI Mode won’t show a response to every query.”

Surely that recent lawsuit and settlement between Youtube and the current president had nothing to do with how Google/Alphabet is handling these queries and that this is but a coincidence.

  3. It looks like AI isn’t coming up for any searches regarding Trump, at least all the ones I tried. In addition, I did Trump 2024 election results (no ai summary) and Harris 2024 election results and got an ai summary. Could just be a blanket policy, though a fishy one

  4. Yeah it’s true. Seems like the tech companies are now bending the knee to Trump.

    Edit

I tried to Google AI Trump’s dementia and what happened was exactly what was in the title.

I’ve been using Bing to search for my articles after I noticed they were hiding certain results. I can’t believe there’s a time in my life where I prefer Bing over Google

  6. Put this into google: signs of dementia in trump and got this result: An AI Overview is not available for this search

  7. Google is actively suppressing negative information about Trump. I tried showing my parents Trump’s stroked-out facial droop at the 9/11 memorial service, and no matter how I searched it, Google would not show me the picture. Insane.

  8. Devils advocate: theyre doing this to avoid a lawsuit bc they know ol Donny numbnuts is online too much

    Also if you check

    “Donald Trump Rapes Kids”

“Donald Trump Epstein” you also don’t get AI results.

So I just googled DONALD TRUMP DEMENTIA and Google instantly hit me with a warning and a captcha! I guess me googling Trump is abuse now.

The week after the inauguration Google was sandboxing their censorship program with META and tiktok. We’ve been trying to tell you guys, but ya’ll keep saying we are conspiracy nuts.

Welp, sign-up sheet is on the wall and the tin foil hats are on the table!

Yup, even in AI mode im not getting an answer to the question “Does Trump have dementia?”

That means the AI thinks he has dementia. And Google can’t change that easily. So they turned it off. Even the auto complete is gone, as if thousands of people have never asked that question.

It truly is time for a mass exodus.

  13. Duck Duck Go has no problem pulling up multiple articles regarding Trump and dementia, as well as good summary.

“Signs of dementia in Trump” got me nothing. But surprise surprise, AI was fine with the same sentence if I replaced Trump with Biden.
