1. Intimidation, disruption, and instigation of blue cities: ICE is likely trying to instigate violence in blue cities to justify a heavy-handed response.
2. This is urban combat experience and training for new recruits. This is the fastest way to get new officers inoculated to stress, learn how to move and communicate in urban environments, and instill a sense of “us against them” when all they see is people that hate them.
3. These are positive optics for their base who consume completely different media from the Reddit demographic.
