I want Democrats to start getting in front of cameras anywhere they can and start telling people that the Republicans are lying. Also highlight the fact that Republicans could blow up the filibuster if they really feel so strongly about passing the budget bill without compromising.

Yep. It’s being repeated across social media platforms and the associated press even labeled it as “democrats picking a fight.”
Once again, lies, corruption, and disinformation wins.
The corporate media will focus on 2 things in the next days and weeks:
1) They will frame the shutdown (subtle or aggressive) as the Democrats fault.
2) They will consistently fail to explain to the American people what the shutdown is really about.
They know if the American people have a good understanding of what’s at stake, it will look bad for Republikans.

“Ok. You got us there. We give in. No health care for illegal immigrants. In return you agree to the other points of our proposal.”
For the record, I do want immigrants to be able to get healthcare. Because I’m not a psychopath.
Democrats need to start explaining that THIS is why we cant negotiate with Republicans in good faith, they just lie about everything.
I have been receiving text messages alluding to this for months, couldn’t figure out why the nonsense. So this disinformation angle is not something cooked up yesterday; it’s been planted over and over in MAGA heads, waiting for a situation where needed. In some sense, I have to give the GOP credit for being so resourceful. Not advocating for similar Dem tactics, but I hope at least SOME Dem plans are in preparation.
And every damn interview in a news show, the host counters with no, that’s not true, or that’s not correct, or you’re misrepresenting it, then…nothing. They just let the Republican spew the same bullshit, repeating what they said the first time.
They are trying to end the subsidies that make Obamacare work. Ignoring it would destroy health insurance for 22 million people

The vast majority of the lies they’ve spewed in the last decade would’ve qualified for the rating 15 years ago.
This is just a conservative ploy to justify kicking more Americans off healthcare.
Something concerning I’ve noticed when discussing this with people on social media the last 2 days is that conservatives seems to be under the impression that “alien” inherently means you have done something illegal.
There is no distinguishing between people that are here illegals and those that aren’t – even after the distinction has been pointed out.
You’re either a citizen, or you’re here illegally. There is no in-between for these people, and they refused to acknowledge any other possibilities (because then their lie immediately falls apart)
Missouri and other states are revoking commercial drivers licenses of DACA recipients.
In order to meet DACA requirement you would of had to be, brought to the US as a minor, under 31 and living in the US for 5 years as of 2012.
Again, this is not about the “illegals” they will be coming for everyone who does not agree with them.

People who are here legally should get healthcare. That’s how we keep all Americans healthy. You control contagious illness from spreading by offering medical services to those who are sick. What’s the issue, no would lose services. Americans are so gullible to MAGA lies.
