This GOP bill will only benefit the Democrats and hurt the Republicans! In today’s job market, it’s already quite difficult for most people to find a job that offers good health benefits from the company. The GOP wants to cut off the group of people who were previously covered by Medicaid, while at the same time causing a sharp increase in premiums for those who were previously insured through the Affordable Care Act, as well as for employees who joined ACA plans after being laid off and no longer receiving full health insurance from their companies. How are these millions of people supposed to maintain their previous standard of living? Personally, I really don’t support slashing health benefits so drastically in today’s tough job market

Healthcare Lobbying is one of the root causes that people should be focusing on, not the runaround argumentative semantics of healthcare subsidies.
In case you are unaware, Healthcare corporations spent around $400 million in 2024 paying members of congress or “donating to their campaign funds”, in order to influence the legislature that those politicians write and vote for.
And to be completely fair to everyone here, no matter what side of the aisle you view yourself on, healthcare subsidies could exist for illegal immigrants or refugees or asylum seekers, and be affordable for the US government if the root causes of the problem were addressed with healthcare.
I understand why people have a problem with immigrants getting healthcare subsidies, but I also understand the humanitarian side of just helping people out who came from a tougher situation. And anyone who has those same view points should be focusing on the root causes which is Lobbying and government being influenced by money to make legislature that lines the pockets of the people giving the government money.
