Who is our president? Who is controlling the congress?

    The answer is very clear.

Hey News guys… Start reporting on the shutdown and not on the polls about the shutdown.

The fact they are putting so much effort into making others think it’s the Dems speaks volumes to who is responsible

How does starting with the idea that MAGA controls the White House and both houses of Congress only go so far?

  5. Anyone who understands Republicans control the house the senate and the presidency should know this is on Republicans. Those who say otherwise are lying and have a agenda.

  6. Maybe instead of polling the public about who is to blame you do your jobs and report to them who is to blame.

  7. republicans should ask themselves if this does anything to maintain the US as the preeminent leader in the world.

  8. The controlling majority of Congress abdicated to Trump. The controlling majority of the SCOTUS abdicated to Trump.

Who the fuck else is there to rightfully blame?

It’s hard to blame the minority party when you control everything, including the ability to change Senate rules to move their garbage budget plans forward.

  10. The polls are biased! Very clearly in favor of those who can read and think.

    Faaaake news!

The GOP controls the presidency, the Senate and the House.

If they can’t run the government it’s on them.

  12. They have a super major and SCOTUS. The Dems literally have 0 authority.

Having a couple votes doesn’t warrant blaming someone for your ineptitude.

Edit: thank you for corrections I understand technically they don’t have a super majority.

They just run the government. Weird fight yall fighting.

Trump himself stated in the past that the only person responsible for a shutdown is the commander in chief. But I guess that doesn’t apply to him, only past presidents.

  14. Why don’t we check what 2011 Trump said about who is to blame when the government shuts down. I think that guy nailed it.

  15. They should just run ads allowing Trump repeatedly saying the incumbent president is responsible for shutdowns.

    Over and over again.

  16. The fact that anyone blames the party who doesn’t control the legislative, executive and judicial branches, is absolutely mind-blowing.

They have all 3 branches. Not only that, they’ve all ceded power to the President. They *still* can’t do anything without chaos because they don’t know how to govern or lead. That’s why they want to rule.

  18. How can the party in power just refuse to negotiate when they don’t actually have the votes needed to *not* negotiate?

  19. Obviously it’s on the Republicans. It’s comical watching them try to spin it. It doesn’t work when you control all branches of government. Yes, some democrats in the senate need to vote yes, but what you do is negotiate with the more moderate democrats to get the votes you need. This whole “take it or leave it” mindset the republicans have is what caused this, and anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows that.

Trump himself said it’s the president’s fault when the government shuts down. He’s not wrong.

  20. Republicans tried to take over the government and run the country on their own, now they’re blaming Democrats for not working with them.

    Can’t make this shit up

  21. They’re totally shutting it all down while controlling exactly 0 branches of government! Those crafty dems!

  22. Fun fact. If the lockdown this time lasts over 11 days, then trump will have been responsible for lockdown days longer than all other presidents lockdown combined

  23. This should come as no surprise. The majority of people in the United States do not like trump. Trump can spin it any way he likes, but the truth is that the majority do not like him or his administration. Republicans will pretend like there’s a majority of people that support him but the truth is so simple to see.
