Can the state of Arizona sue Johnson? Seems incredible that the Speaker of the House can simply refuse to swear in an elected representative. If that is legal, why doesn’t every Speaker (no matter the party) do that every year?

They talk about the founders a lot but seem to forget what happens when we have taxation without representation ’round these parts.
And now they’re trying to backtrack and say they’ll only seat Democrats when the government is fully open, despite having just seated two FL GOP reps in a pro forma session. It’s just a game to them and they play under a different set of rules. They literally refuse to permit democrats to have any power even when they win an election.
