  1. And there won’t be evidence because they were fishing boats, with fishing crew on them, with no conceivable way of making it to the US

  2. How are we at the point that even if they are carrying drugs it’s okay to blast them out of the water?!

  3. SwimmingThroughHoney on

AP headline missing the point. Should be “Congress okay with unlawful actions by the President”.

he should be incarcerated by the UN for crimes against humanity since our country doesn’t have the balls to do it.

There’s a very logical explanation for why that is! Because they were just fishing boats and our military following the orders of a politician decided to just go ahead and comply with what was likely a clearly illegal order.

I don’t know how many people the illegal orders went through but everyone who complied betrayed our country and broke their oath, Those people very likely will eventually be put on trial for their crimes unlike the politicians.

Looking at the Paquete Habana or many others cases, the world doesn’t like people messing with fishing boats on international waters…

Drug smuggling, especially on a scale as small as a single boat, should be a policing matter, or maybe customs enforcement, but never a military matter where lethal force is involved. It’s completely disproportionate to the crime involved and doesn’t even aid future investigations. Mind boggling.

Even if evidence showed the boats carried drugs, there were many other ways of interdicting them without mass murder. This was gratuitous violence, pure theatrics without regard to victims or their families, Trump’s shock and awe approach to everything is brutality

Because there is none. If they wanted to prove it they’d capture the boats, not destroy them from a distance.

  10. And to stress – even if they DID carry drugs, that is not a legal or ethical justification for overwhelming lethal force, nor does it make pragmatic/financial sense to use expensive weapons to deal with it.

Shouldn’t “execution in international waters for a crime that isn’t considered a capital offense, against citizens of another nation” be like, an international criminal court issue?

  12. Maybe if they were alive to come here and then try them we could have had such evidence. Because if you were so easily able to tell they were committing crimes and coming this way, you could’ve surveiled them and stopped them once they got here.

Because the guy campaigning for the Nobel peace prize also likes vaporizing people from countries he doesn’t like

  14. Ok ok ok. So what was on the boat if it wasn’t drugs? What would be so important to risk international war over?

  15. it’s his version of “weapons of mass destruction”. It’s actually weapons of mass DIstraction from the Epstein Files”.
He’s creating war crimes evidence for himself.

  16. They should just sell their drugs on the dark web, give a donation to the Trump campaign fund, and boom (figuratively in this case), they’ll be pardoned.

Yeah, I said, this, “I would be against it if it were true but I sincerely doubt it’s true.”

  18. what difference does it make? he gave illegal orders that killed people. he is also a rapist and pedophile.

  19. Or proof that….
    He turned over his taxes
End the war in Ukraine on day one
    He’s told the truth ever
    He does not have dementia
Could go on but why bother oh wait
That he’s not # 1 in the Epstein files!

  20. He hasn’t provided evidence because evidence doesn’t exist when no crime is committed.

  21. Trump has yet to provide evidence of…anything.

    Ever.

I am STILL waiting for Mexico to build the wall. Still waiting for evidence he “won” the 2020 election. Still waiting for evidence he didn’t cause an insurrection on J6.

    He just keeps people waiting.

Welcome to the age of The Long Con.

  22. And I doubt he ever will. He’s not the kind of guy to believe in the importance something like hard or clear evidence.

Which Congress? The ceremonial one which used to make laws before we switched to the new system of royal decrees verified by 6-3 SCOTUS shadow docket decision?

They have no more power; they just don’t know it yet.
