A recent CNN interview between journalist Kaitlin Collins and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) took an awkward turn when she challenged his explanation for why Rep.-elect Adelita Grijalva (D-Ariz.) has not been sworn into Congress.
On Sept. 29, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) was accused by Democrats for delaying Grijalva’s swearing-in to stall a vote on the Epstein Files.
When Collins pressed Jordan on the issue, the Ohio Republican stumbled and the conversation spiraled into a heated exchange.
They’re flailing about trying to come up with a cover story for the delay in Grijalva’s swearing in, but they all know exactly why Johnson is refusing to seat her. She has been very open about voting to release the Epstein files.

I watched the whole thing and I don’t think he ever sounded dumbfounded. Don’t get me wrong, he sounded dumb multiple times, but he clearly had his talking points ready to go. Blame Schumer (who apparently is the supreme power in the country) over and over. Being dumbfounded during an interview requires at least some level of introspection/listening to what the other person is saying.

Did he really just complain that Democrats are advocating for an issue that wasn’t a “campaign issue” last year!? As if the government is somehow incapable of acting on anything that wasn’t a campaign talking point in the previous election cycle?

They will eventually say that they have been blessed by God to save the country from evil, and that giving to the poor, taxing the rich, acknowledging that racism and sexism still exist is evil because it “punishes the successful and rewards the undesirables “.
Their answer to being called hypocrites will be “yes we are, because we’re right and they’re wrong”.
